We ask for a few details, use them for exactly one thing, and delete them when that thing is done. Here is the whole of it.

Who we are
OYI Cold Connect runs solar cold rooms, refrigerated trucking and a cold marketplace in Nigeria. For the details collected through this site, OYI Cold Connect is the data controller — we decide what is collected and why. You can reach us at hello@oyicoldco.com.
What we collect
Two things, and nothing quietly.
- The app waitlist form. Your name, a phone or WhatsApp number, an email address if you choose to add one, your city, and what you mostly do — grow food, fish, buy, run a market, fund or partner.
- Anything you email us. If you write to us, we hold what you send.
That is the full list. This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or trackers. We do not watch you browse; we only receive what you choose to send.
Why, and on what basis
The Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) requires a lawful basis for holding and using your details. Ours is your consent, given through the tick-box on the waitlist form. We use your details for one purpose only: to message you about the Cold Connect app launch. No marketing lists. No selling. No sharing for advertising.
Where it goes
The waitlist form is saved to OYI's own database, which is hosted for us by Cloudflare, Inc., a company based in the United States. The database is restricted to Cloudflare's data centres in the European Union. Under the NDPA that is an international transfer of your details, and we make it with appropriate safeguards in place under Cloudflare's data-processing terms.
How long we keep it
Until the launch message is sent, or until you ask to be removed — whichever comes first. Then we delete it.
Your rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023
You can:
- ask for a copy of what we hold about you;
- ask us to correct it;
- ask us to delete it;
- withdraw your consent at any time — we then stop using your details and delete them;
- complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission if you think we have handled your details badly.
How to exercise them
Email hello@oyicoldco.com and tell us what you want done. We answer within 30 days. No forms, no fee.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new date. If a change would mean using your details for anything beyond the launch message, we will ask for your consent again — we will not assume it.
